5th Grade Science Camp

Science Camp 2023

Participating in the 5th Grade Science Camp is a pivotal aspect of our curriculum, offering students a hands-on learning experience that goes beyond traditional academics. This immersive adventure, taking place from May 21-24, 2024, at the Exploring New Horizons Outdoor School at Sempervirens, allows students to explore the Oak and Redwood Forests and delve into ocean tide pools. Beyond academic enrichment, the camp fosters the development of essential life skills such as teamwork, self-esteem, and social responsibility. However, the success of this transformative experience hinges on timely financial contributions from parents.

To ensure the continuity of the Science Camp program, parents are urged to pay the fair share amount of $432 per student by the deadline of September 9, 2023. This contribution covers lodging, food, transportation, counseling, and guidance from naturalists. Notably, the PPIE is graciously covering the cost of buses, saving each student $50. In the event of financial constraints, parents are encouraged to reach out to the PFC treasurer at treasurer@lydiksenpfc.org for assistance. Your support in meeting this financial commitment will play a vital role in securing this invaluable educational experience for every 5th-grade student.

Make payment through future funds.

Science Camp was an amazing place to learn about nature and to have fun.
